Gear power in Palworld comes from schematic rarity, not from finding new weapon types: the same Assault Rifle exists from Common up to Legendary, and the Legendary version is strictly stronger. Accessories add flat percentages on top — +30% defense from a Defense Pendant, +35% element resistance from a ring.
Schematic number = rarity (blank / 1 / 2 / 3 / 4). Legendary schematics drop from Alphas, chests, supply drops, merchants and the Arena. Two accessory slots, four with boxes. Meteorite Ammo is 3 fragments per batch.
Verified on patch 1.0.3 (12 August 2026).
Schematic rarity
| Marking | Rarity | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| No number | Common | Baseline version |
| 1 | Uncommon | Stronger, costs more materials |
| 2 | Rare | Stronger again |
| 3 | Epic | Near top tier |
| 4 | Legendary | Strongest version of that item |
Higher rarities always consume Ancient Civilization Parts in addition to their ordinary materials, so a Legendary set is gated by boss farming as much as by the schematic drop itself.
Where Legendary schematics come from
| Source | Detail |
|---|---|
| Overworld Alpha Pals | Small chance on defeat, capture or butchering; specific Alphas drop specific schematics |
| Treasure chests | Both overworld and dungeon chests |
| Supply drops | Random loot |
| Wandering Merchants | A few schematics are stocked |
| Arena | Battle tickets or Platinum-level victories |
Named Legendary schematics documented so far include the Laser Rifle, Gatling Gun, Rocket Launcher, Beam Sword and multiple armour sets — Plasteel, Hexolite and Hallowed variants.
Farming Alphas gives you the Ancient Civilization Parts that Legendary crafting consumes and the chance at the schematic itself. If you are chasing endgame gear, a daily Alpha circuit is more efficient than chest running.
Weapons and their ammunition
| Weapon | Ammunition |
|---|---|
| Handgun | Handgun Ammo |
| Musket | Coarse Ammo |
| Assault Rifle | Assault Rifle Ammo |
| Laser Rifle | Energy Cartridge |
| Rocket Launcher | Rocket Ammo |
| Beam Launcher | Beam Launcher Ammo |
| Advanced Bow | Advanced Arrow |
| Meteor Launcher | Meteorite Ammo |
Weapons are crafted at the Primitive Workbench, High Quality Workbench, Weapon Workbench or Weapon Assembly Line I and II depending on tier. Categories are ranged, melee, grenades and tools.
Our extraction of the per-weapon damage figures returned values that do not rank sensibly against each other — a bow above a laser rifle, for instance. Rather than republish numbers we do not trust, this guide covers ammunition and tiers and omits raw damage until we can verify it.
Meteorite gear
| Recipe | Meteorite Fragments | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Meteorite Ammo | 3 | 300 work per batch |
| Meteor Launcher | 100 | Plus refined ingots, paldium and solvent |
| Xenogard / Selyne / Xenolord saddles | 10–30 | Each |
| Ring of Ground Resistance, Ground Support Whistle | 10 | Each |
| Paldium extraction (Crusher) | 1 | Yields 3 Paldium Fragment |
Meteorite Fragment's description reads: "Fragment of a rock from outer space. Contains large amounts of Paldium Fragment, which can be extracted by placing it in a Crusher." Most meteorite recipes sit at Technology level 38 or above.

| Attack Pendant | +15% Attack |
| Life Pendant | +15% Health |
| Elemental rings (Flame, Water, Lightning, Grass, Ice, Earth, Dark, Dragon, Neutral) | +35% damage reduction from that element |
| Heat Resistant / Thermal / Multiclimate Undershirt | Heat or Cold Resistant Lv3 |
| Ring of Mercy | Prevents lethal damage to targets |
| Ring of Freight | Increases carrying capacity |
| Growth Acceleration Bell | Pal EXP Up Lv3 |
| Ability Glasses | Shows Pal potentials on a 0–100 scale |
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Slots | 2 by default, up to 4 with special boxes |
| Duplicates | Two accessories with the same name cannot be worn together |
| Since 1.0.0.1 | Accessories drop as schematics only and must be crafted |
A 35% elemental ring is worth more than a flat pendant in any fight where you know the boss's element. Craft the rings for the elements the tower and raid bosses use — Dark, Dragon, Ice and Fire cover most of the roster.
What to do next
- Farm the schematics and parts you need in the alpha and field boss guide.
- Check what each unlock costs in the technology tree guide.
- Take the finished kit into the tower bosses, which are pure DPS checks.
