Palworld raid bosses and how to beat them

Updated Verified for Palworld 1.0.3

Raid bosses are summoned at a Summoning Altar in your own base by offering a slab, and you have ten minutes to kill them. There are five raid families — Bellanoir, Bellanoir Libero, Blazamut Ryu, Xenolord and Hartalis — plus the Terraria collab's Moon Lord, most with an Ultra tier on top.

🔑
The 5-second version

Altar at Technology 33. Slab in, ten-minute timer. Standard raids drop Ultra Slab Fragments; Ultra raids drop the trophies. Almost everything here is Dark or Dragon, so a strong Dragon Pal covers most of the roster.

Verified on patch 1.0.3 (12 August 2026).

Sources disagree on two entries

Bellanoir: one raid table says level 30, another encounter entry says 35. Xenolord: one source lists it as Dark at level 60 for both tiers, while another lists Dark and Dragon with a level 65 standard raid and a level 80 Ultra. We report both rather than picking one.

Xenolord also drops 7–15 Meteorite Fragment at a reported 100% rate, alongside a 90% chance of a Huge Dark Egg — which makes it the most repeatable source of meteorite material in the game.

Standard raids feeding Ultra Slab Fragments is the loop: farm the standard version repeatedly, assemble Ultra slabs, then run Ultra for the trophies. The exact number of fragments per Ultra slab is not published by our sources, so it is omitted here.

⚠️
Moon Lord is a different animal

Moon Lord is a multi-part encounter from the Terraria collaboration and is not a catchable Pal — no Huge Egg drops from it. Its rewards are gear: the Legendary Meowmere, the Moon Lord Mask and, at Master difficulty, weapon and statue schematics. The Terraprisma from the same collab is a weapon, not a Pal.

How to actually win a raid

  • Treat it as a DPS check. Ten minutes is generous only if your damage is adequate; if you are timing out, the fix is more damage, not better dodging.
  • Enhance before you summon. A Statue of Power rank 20 Pal is +60% over the same Pal untouched — see the condensation guide.
  • Bring the element, not the favourite. Double damage beats twenty levels.
  • Clear the arena. Raids happen in your base, so anything fragile near the altar is a casualty.
  • Stack Attack passives. Twin-Edged Holy Blade, Demon God, Legend and Ferocious together are worth more than any single upgrade.

What to do next

Frequently asked questions

How do you summon a raid boss in Palworld?
Build a Summoning Altar — Technology 33, 100 Stone and 20 Paldium Fragment, 10,000 workload — then offer the matching slab at it. Each boss has its own slab, and Ultra bosses need the Ultra version of that slab. Once summoned you have ten minutes before the boss despawns.
What is Xenolord weak to?
Dragon attacks, because Xenolord is a Dark type. Some references additionally list a Dragon secondary element, which would make Ice effective too; others list it as Dark only. Bring a Dragon Pal and Ice damage as backup and you are covered whichever is right.
What level is Bellanoir in Palworld?
Sources disagree slightly: one lists the standard Bellanoir raid at level 30, while another labels the 'Eclipsed Siren Bellanoir' encounter level 35. Both agree it is a Dark type and that the raid awards a Huge Dark Egg, put at a 90% chance.
What do Ultra raids drop in Palworld?
Ultra versions drop the unique cosmetic and trophy items: Witch's Crown from Bellanoir Libero Ultra, Horns of Supremacy from Blazamut Ryu Ultra, Xenolord's head from Xenolord Ultra and Crown of Salvation from Hartalis Ultra. Standard raids drop Ultra Slab Fragments instead, which is how you work towards Ultra.
Can you catch raid bosses in Palworld?
You do not catch them in the fight — the reward is a Huge Egg of the matching type, which hatches into the boss species. Moon Lord is the exception: it is a multi-part encounter that awards no egg at all, giving weapon rewards such as the Legendary Meowmere and the Moon Lord Mask instead.
How many players can join a Palworld raid?
Raids are designed as a multiplayer fight at your own base, and the boss despawns after ten minutes. Because the timer is fixed, raids are a damage check: bring counter-element Pals that are condensed and enhanced rather than a wide team, and clear the base of anything the boss can destroy.
