Tides of Terraria (v0.6.0, 25 June 2025) added a full Terraria dungeon, 11 catchable Terraria monsters, six crossover weapons including the Terraprisma and Vortex Beater, and the Moon Lord raid — all free and all still in the game.
What the update was
| Field | Detail |
|---|---|
| Version | 0.6.0, "Tides of Terraria" |
| Date | 25 June 2025 |
| Platforms | Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS5 |
| Cost | Free update |
| Level cap | Raised from 60 to 65 (raised again to 80 at 1.0) |
The crossover was not the whole update. Version 0.6.0 also added fishing, ocean salvaging, a mission system with NPCs, treasure maps, enemy faction bases, the Pal Trust mechanic, single-player Arena, and buildings including the Pal Surgery Table and Fishing Pond.
The Meowmere arrived in the Feybreak update (v0.4.11) on 23 December 2024 as the first piece of Palworld–Terraria crossover content, described in the patch notes as Palworld's first bullet-firing melee weapon. It unlocks at Technology Level 30 for 2 Ancient Technology Points.
The dungeon: Sealed Realm of Terraria
The entry point is on Eternal Summer Isle, in the far south-west of the map. It is a level 45 challenge and, unusually for a Sealed Realm, a full explorable dungeon rather than a single boss room. The boss inside is the Eye of Cthulhu, a level 45 Dark-element Alpha.
One set of figures puts the entrance at (-422, -795). Another gives (-421, -789), and community guides circulate (-422, -796). They are within a few metres of each other, so any of them puts you at the right spot — but we are not going to pretend one is definitive. Open on map.
Getting there is a swim or a flight: fast travel to Fisherman's Point in the south-west and cross the water on a mount. Take a pickaxe — rock formations block interior paths. Route details are community-reported.
The 11 Terraria monsters
These are catchable with Pal Spheres but are filed under a separate Monsters category and do not appear in the Paldeck. In the wild they spawn only inside the Sealed Realm of Terraria.
| Monster | Notes |
|---|---|
| Green Slime | — |
| Blue Slime | Drops Hallowed Bars |
| Red Slime | — |
| Purple Slime | — |
| Illuminant Slime | — |
| Rainbow Slime | — |
| Enchanted Sword | Drops Hallowed Bars |
| Cave Bat | Drops Hallowed Bars |
| Illuminant Bat | — |
| Demon Eye | Drops Hallowed Bars |
| Eye of Cthulhu | Dark element. Alpha boss of the Sealed Realm; also breedable from a Large Dark Egg |
The Eye of Cthulhu is the standout: it has Transporting Lv. 4 work suitability, which few creatures have naturally, and a partner skill called Mad Eye Lunge whose damage scales with condensation.
The crossover weapons
All six are crafted, and the schematics come from Moon Lord or from the Sealed Realm. Attack figures run from Common to Legendary rarity.
| Weapon | Attack (Common → Legendary) | Schematic from | Key trait |
|---|---|---|---|
| Terra Blade | 425 → 637 | Moon Lord (Master), 25% | Fires green shockwaves |
| Excalibur | 360 → 540 | Sealed Realm of Terraria | Emits shockwaves; no Moon Lord needed |
| Vortex Beater | 300 → 450 | Moon Lord (Master) 25%, or Sealed Realm | 66% chance not to consume ammo; homing missiles |
| Legendary Meowmere | 222 (flat) | Moon Lord, 22% | Durability 22,222; ricocheting cat projectiles |
| Terraprisma | 90 → 150 | Moon Lord (Master), 25% | Summons up to nine blessed swords |
| Nightglow | 50 → 100 | Moon Lord (Master) 25%, or Sealed Realm | Requires no ammunition at all |
Crafting costs (Common rarity)
| Weapon | Materials | Bench |
|---|---|---|
| Excalibur | 30 Hallowed Bar | Production Assembly Line |
| Terra Blade | 40 Hallowed Bar, 20 Pal Metal Ingot | Production Assembly Line |
| Terraprisma | 40 Hallowed Bar, 20 Pal Metal Ingot, 3 Ancient Civilization Parts | Production Assembly Line |
| Vortex Beater | 40 Hallowed Bar, 20 Pal Metal Ingot, 5 Electric Organ | Weapon Assembly Line |
| Legendary Meowmere | 22 Hallowed Bar, 22 Paldium Fragment, 22 Coal | — |
Most of these are 400 workload. The bottleneck is not the bench, it is the bars.
Hallowed Bars: the gating material
Hallowed Bar cannot be bought. It drops from monsters and from breakable pots inside the Sealed Realm of Terraria — Blue Slime, Cave Bat, Demon Eye, Enchanted Sword, the slime variants and Eye of Cthulhu all drop it. It has zero weight and sells for 20 Gold, so hoard rather than sell.
The dungeon's breakable pots are a Hallowed Bar source in their own right. A clearing run that smashes everything yields far more than a combat-only run, and you need 30–40 bars per weapon before you even think about upgrades.
Terraria armour
Seven pieces were added: Hallowed Mask, Hallowed Headgear, Hallowed Helmet, Hallowed Hood, Hallowed Plate Mail, Moon Lord Mask and Eye of Cthulhu Mask. Several give weapon-specific damage bonuses — the Hallowed Mask boosts Meowmere, Excalibur and Terra Blade damage, while the Hallowed Helmet boosts the Vortex Beater. Match the headpiece to the weapon you actually use.
The Moon Lord raid
- Find the Celestial Sigil schematic inside the Sealed Realm of Terraria.
- Craft a Celestial Sigil from Hallowed Bars.
- Use it at a Summoning Altar.
- For Master difficulty you need a Celestial Sigil (Master), which drops from both the normal and master encounters.
Moon Lord has multiple destructible parts and no elemental weakness, so bring raw damage rather than a type counter. Auto-targeting weapons — the Terraprisma and Nightglow — are the community-favoured picks precisely because you spend the fight repositioning.
| Difficulty | Drops |
|---|---|
| Normal | 2–3 Ancient Civilization Parts, Training Manuals, a Master Sigil, weapon schematics at 25%, Moon Lord Mask at 10% |
| Master | 10 Ancient Civilization Parts, Training Crystals, guaranteed Moon Lord Mask and Statue Schematic, higher-tier weapon schematics |
Both tiers guarantee one of three Handbooks — Planting, Handiwork or Gathering. A Master-tier Moon Lord [Master] encounter was added later, in patch v0.6.4 on 30 July 2025.
What Terraria got in return
The crossover ran both ways. Terraria's 1.4.5.0 "Bigger and Boulder" update, released 27 January 2026, added officially documented Palworld content:
- Pets: Cattiva, Foxparks, Chillet, Chillet Ignis, Digtoise
- Armour: Pal Metal Chestplate, Pal Metal Leggings
- Other: Huge Dragon Egg
Descriptions of exactly what each does in Terraria come from third-party guides rather than Re-Logic documentation, so treat the specifics as community-reported.
What to do next
- The ULTRAKILL collaboration — Palworld's other crossover
- Update history — where 0.6.0 sits in the timeline
- The interactive map — to plot the trip to Eternal Summer Isle
