The roadmap: what is actually announced

⚠️
There is no dated post-1.0 roadmap

As of 13 August 2026 Pocketpair has not published a dated content roadmap for after version 1.0. The official 1.0 changelog contains no future-content schedule, and every patch since has been fixes and balance. Sites listing dated 2026 content drops are not working from a published source.

Pocketpair did publish a roadmap once before, on 19 January 2025 alongside the game's first anniversary, so another one is plausible — but plausible is not announced.

Announced, but without dates

  • Palworld Mobile — a mobile version with publisher Krafton. Announced for 2026; no launch date confirmed. A closed alpha ran in December 2025.
  • Palworld Online — a separate mobile MMORPG with Garena for iOS and Android, announced 3 August 2026 for a 2026 launch. This is a different project from Palworld Mobile.
⚠️
Unconfirmed

There is no announced Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 version. There is no announced paid DLC or expansion pass. There is no announced sequel. Anything you read to the contrary is speculation.

Common questions about the timeline

Why do some sites say 9 July 2026? Steam's store listing renders the release date as 9 July 2026 because of store rollover and time zones. Pocketpair's own wording is 10 July 2026, which is the date used throughout this guide.

Was 1.0 a paid upgrade? No. It was a free update to everyone who already owned the game, and Pocketpair explicitly declined to raise the price at full launch.

Did the Nintendo lawsuit delay 1.0? Pocketpair has never said so. Two mechanics changed during litigation (November 2024 and May 2025) but no delay has been attributed to the case.

Frequently asked questions

When did Palworld 1.0 release?
Palworld left Early Access with version 1.0 on 10 July 2026, two and a half years after its 19 January 2024 Early Access launch. Pocketpair announced the date at Summer Game Fest on 5 June 2026 and posted the official release changelog on Steam on 10 July. The update was free for existing owners and the price did not increase.
Is Palworld still in Early Access?
No. Early Access ended on 10 July 2026 when version 1.0 shipped. Any guide still describing Palworld as an Early Access game is out of date. Development has continued after 1.0 — patches v1.0.1, v1.0.2 and v1.0.3 landed between 15 July and 12 August 2026 — but the game is now a full release.
What was the last Palworld update?
As of 13 August 2026 the most recent patch is v1.0.3, posted on 12 August 2026. It was a balance and bug-fix patch: several technology unlock levels were lowered (Jetragon dropped from 79 to 70), some building and crafting costs were reduced, tree fibre yields doubled, and fixes landed for summoned Pals stopping work and for raid boss progression.
What is on the Palworld roadmap for 2026?
Pocketpair has not published a dated post-1.0 roadmap. The official 1.0 changelog contains no future-content schedule, and every patch since has been bug fixes and balance. Two separate mobile projects have been announced without firm dates: Palworld Mobile with Krafton, and Palworld Online with Garena. Treat any specific dated 2026 content claim you see elsewhere as unconfirmed.
How big were the major Palworld updates?
Sakurajima (June 2024) added an island, Pals and raids. Feybreak (December 2024) added an island Pocketpair described as six times Sakurajima's size. Tides of Terraria (June 2025) added fishing, missions and the Terraria crossover, raising the level cap to 65. Version 1.0 added 72 Pals, the Sunreach region and the World Tree, and raised the cap to 80.
