Every Pal that produces items on a Ranch

Updated Verified for Palworld 1.0.3

29 Pals produce something on a Ranch. Both databases agree on the list exactly, so the table below is the complete set — pick by output, then by the lowest Farming level and food cost that gives it to you.

Duplicate outputs are a trap

Six items on this list have two or three producers, and in every single case the lower-level Pal is also the cheaper to feed. Mau Cryst over Foxcicle, Rooby over Flambelle, Cawgnito over Sootseer, Lamball over Melpaca. There is no case where the higher-level duplicate is better.

What a Ranch cannot make

Working through all 29 entries, no Ranch Pal produces: Ore, Coal, Sulfur, Paldium Fragment, Cloth (only High Quality Cloth), Polymer, ordinary Pal Oil, Berry Seeds, or any organ other than Electric, Ice and Flame. Mining materials come from nodes and quarry structures instead.

Production rate

⚠️
There is no verified post-1.0 rate

A widely repeated figure holds that a Pal assigned to a Ranch produces roughly every 50 seconds, with each level giving a chance to produce more. That figure is from before version 1.0, and 1.0's patch notes state the default ranch production interval was adjusted. No replacement figure has been published on either database, so every items-per-hour number in circulation is unverified.

Per-Pal output quantities are also unpublished. Dumud Gild's 80/20 split is the only probability breakdown either database gives for any Ranch Pal.

Region and collab coverage

The list includes later-era Pals — Woolipop Terra, Dumud Gild, Sibelyx Primo, Shroomer and Sootseer. Of the Pals added in the Tides of Terraria collaboration, Dumud Gild is the only one with Farming suitability, which matches both databases' Farming tables containing no other collab entries.

What to do next

  • Build one Ranch at Tech 5 and start with Vixy — it pays for its own Spheres.
  • Add Surfent for Leather, the only passive source in the game.
  • Feed the whole thing from a Berry Plantation before scaling past four Pals — see the seeds guide.

Frequently asked questions

How many Pals produce items on a Ranch in Palworld?
29. The two main community databases publish identical Farming lists, so this is one of the few Palworld datasets with no disagreement between sources. Every one of them needs Farming work suitability of at least Lv1, and food costs range from 1 up to 7 for Sootseer.
What is the best Ranch Pal in Palworld?
It depends on the item, but Vixy is the standout generalist: it produces Pal Spheres, Mega, Giga and Hyper Spheres, Arrows, Gold Coins and Bone, at Farming Lv1 with a food cost of 1. No other Ranch Pal covers that many outputs for that little upkeep. Vaelet is second for breadth, producing six seed types.
How fast do Ranch Pals produce items?
Nobody can currently say. One widely quoted figure is roughly one item every 50 seconds with higher levels giving a chance of more, but that figure predates version 1.0 and 1.0 explicitly adjusted the default ranch production interval. No replacement number has been published, so any items-per-hour figure you see is guesswork.
Does condensing a Pal improve its Ranch output?
It raises the maximum quantity per harvest rather than the cycle speed, according to community analysis — this is not stated in either of the main reference databases, so treat it as unverified. What is documented is that a higher Farming level gives a chance to produce more per cycle.
Can a Ranch produce Ore or Coal?
No. Working through all 29 entries, no Ranch Pal produces Ore, Coal, Sulfur, Paldium, Cloth, Polymer, ordinary Pal Oil, or any organ beyond Electric, Ice and Flame. Mining materials come from nodes and the quarry structures instead — the Ranch covers organic materials, seeds, spheres and coins.
