Mammorest and Mammorest Cryst drop 5–10 High Quality Pal Oil at 100% — the best farm in the game, and the same kill also pays 5–10 Leather. For a hands-off supply, Dumud produces it on a Ranch at Farming Lv1.
Hunt Mammorest. Ranch a Dumud. You need it for Polymer, which you need for Circuit Boards, which gate everything after Tech 40.

Picking a farm
| Stage | Target | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Early | Digtoise | 2–3 per kill and spawns in the desert at low level; you are catching them for Mining anyway |
| Mid | Mammorest | 5–10 at 100%, plus 5–10 Leather from the same corpse |
| Late | Eidrolon / Eidrolon Ignis | 5–6 at 100% in the Feybreak-tier areas you are already clearing |
| Passive | Dumud Ranch | Farming Lv1, food cost 3, runs while you are offline |
Mammorest tops both this list and the Leather list at 5–10 apiece, 100% each. Very few farms in Palworld cover two separate bottlenecks with one route.
The Ranch option
| Pal | Ranch output | Farming Lv | Food |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dumud | High Quality Pal Oil | 1 | 3 |
| Dumud Gild | High Quality Pal Oil (80%) or 100 Gold Coins (20%) | 4 | 3 |
Dumud Gild is the only Ranch Pal in the game with a published probability split, which is worth knowing: it is not strictly better than Dumud for oil, because a fifth of its output is gold instead. If you specifically want oil, plain Dumud is the more predictable producer; if you want a gold trickle alongside, take the Gild.
The pre-1.0 figure of one item roughly every 50 seconds was changed by version 1.0, and no replacement interval has been published. Any oil-per-hour figure is unverified.
What it builds
| Product | Role |
|---|---|
| Polymer | The main sink; explicitly named in the item description |
| Circuit Board | 2 Polymer + 4 Pure Quartz |
| Decal Ink | 1 HQ Pal Oil + 1 Aquatic Pal Fluids |
| Intermediate Fishing Rod | 10 HQ Pal Oil among its materials |
| Weapons, armour, food, buildings | Spread across dozens of recipes |
The chain to remember is High Quality Pal Oil → Polymer → Circuit Board. A Pure Quartz stockpile with no oil behind it converts into nothing, which is the most common late-mid-game stall.
What to do next
- Run Mammorest for oil and Leather together.
- Start a Dumud Ranch early — see the full Ranch list.
- Line the oil up against your Pure Quartz supply before committing to Circuit Boards.
